Privacy Policy

Effective 3 November 2026

The short version

  • You don’t need an account. We don’t ask for your name or email.
  • Your journal, highlights, favourites and journey progress are stored only on your iPhone.
  • Step counts from Apple Health are read on your phone, used only to move you along the road, and never sent to us or anyone else.
  • We use Google Firebase to receive anonymous usage statistics and crash reports, so we can improve the app.
  • Payments are handled by Apple. We never see your card details.
  • We don’t sell your data and we don’t show ads.

1. Who we are

Bible Reels (“the app”) is published by Bible Reels (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app uses, why, and what choices you have. If you have any questions, write to .

2. Information stored only on your device

The app saves the following on your iPhone so it can work, including offline:

This information is not uploaded to our servers. It stays on your device and in your own device backups (for example iCloud Backup, if you have it turned on). If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.

3. Apple Health and Motion & Fitness

If you allow it, the app reads your step count from Apple Health. If Apple Health has no data, it may read steps from your iPhone’s motion sensor (Motion & Fitness). The app only reads steps; it never writes anything to Apple Health and does not read any other health data.

You can change or remove access at any time in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Bible Reels, and in Settings → Privacy & Security → Motion & Fitness.

4. Usage statistics and crash reports

The App Store version of the app uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, provided by Google LLC. They help us understand which features are used and fix problems.

ServiceWhat is collectedWhy
Firebase Analytics App interactions such as screens opened, chapters completed, a journal entry being added (the verse reference, never the text you write), journey stops completed, lessons opened, and subscription events; device model, iOS version, app version, language, approximate region derived from the IP address, and a random app-instance identifier. To understand how the app is used and improve it.
Firebase Crashlytics Crash reports: the state of the app when it crashed, device model, iOS version and a random identifier. To find and fix bugs.

This information is not linked to your name or email, it does not include your journal text or any health data, and it is not used for advertising. Google processes it on our behalf and may process it in the United States; Google relies on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for these transfers. More information: firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles your payment information under Apple’s Privacy Policy. The app receives only the status of your subscription (for example active or expired) so it can unlock Premium features.

6. Support emails

You can reach us at . If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to answer you and keep it only as long as needed to help you.

7. This website

biblereels.eu does not use cookies, analytics or tracking, and it loads no fonts or scripts from other companies. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for a short time to keep the site secure and running.

9. How long we keep data

Data on your device stays until you delete it or delete the app. Firebase Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months, and Crashlytics crash reports for up to 90 days. Support emails are deleted when they are no longer needed.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. Because we don’t have an account system, most of your data is only on your device and fully under your control. For anything else, contact . You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

11. Children

The app is suitable for teenagers and adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. In some countries, users under 16 need a parent’s permission to use apps that process personal data. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Security

Data on your device is protected by iOS security, including your passcode and device encryption. Data sent to Firebase is transmitted over encrypted connections.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Important changes will also be mentioned in the app’s release notes.
